The San Francisco African American Arts and Cultural District and Blue Shield of California cordially invite you to attend the unveiling of the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood's newest art mural!

Bayview-Hunters Point’s newest art mural, painted by local artist Malik Seneferu, is part of a series of communal discourse on Black Solidarity and is titled "Black is Beautiful."

The event will feature a dedication ceremony with community leaders to speak about the importance of community revitalization and resiliency projects and the significance of this mural for the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood.

About this event

Four Black-Owned small business panelists will share their business stories, and how they have navigated the Covid-19 pandemic and increased racial tensions over the past twelve months.

We will hear how they are pivoting their businesses and are adapting to new ways of operating as the state continues to re-open.

We will be joined by Ebon Glenn, Operations Director at the San Francisco African-American Arts and Cultural District, who will speak to the issue of racism and how Black-Owned businesses have been affected by this, as well as by the pandemic, and the organizing efforts of community groups to address both issues.
